Hello everyone,

Here’s a sample of a recent commission I finished. I haven’t had a lot of experience with drawing horses so this project was a bit of new territory. I think it turned out pretty well. What do you think?

Black Widow

Hello Everyone,

Here is a sketch for the sketch files. I like this study of the Black Widow. I think I’ll do a complete commission of it later. My first experience with this character was in an early issue of Spiderman when she went after old webhead. As I recall that was the issue when she changed to this costume. Later she ran around with Daredevil ( may need to do a commission of him sometime too. ) I liked that too. They seemed like a good duo. Now that I think of it that was a great time for duos. That was the 1970’s. There was Green Lantern and Green Arrow, Powerman and Iron Fist, Daredevil and the Black Widow, and of course Captain America and the Falcon. Ironically enough, I don’t remember Batman and Robin being a duo back then in the comics (only on TV )

Proof: A cool pin up for a cool comic

Here’s a pin up I just finished for the creator of the comicbook : Proof. It’s an awesome comic that while doing research for this pin-up I’ve become very interested in. It’s kinda like X-files but with Bigfoot. It’s very well written and drawn. I was just told that this pinup will be in the next issue (#27). Let me know what you think.

Here’s a recent commission I did for a guy at work who is a big Captain America fan. I really enjoy doing these type of drawings because I think they really push me artistically. I’m in the process of uploading the galleries to the website. This is an example of art for the Sketch Gallery. I’ve been doing a lot of these type of drawings in preparation for the upcoming Planet Comicon show on March 27th. Also, my beautiful wife reminds me of the Black Canary so I figured this would be a great start for the new website. Let me know what you think. Hello everyone. If you remember my old website you will remember that I had a large amount of artwork and information on it. Since the redesign of montemay.com I haven’t added the content. That begins on Monday. Along with the reload of the new Pigtalesonline.com! Both Redesigns have been almost a year in development starting with me creating a business plan for my cartoon illustration business.
